Student Missions Weekend

Approximately 130 students and leaders participated in Student Missions Weekend at WorldSong on January 18-19, 2013.  Students served the community through ministry projects at multiple locations in the Birmingham area!

Student Missions Weekend is a co-ed event for students in grades 7-12. At SMW, students learn about missions through worship experiences and hands-on missions projects.  Students work side by side being the hands and feet of Jesus!

After finishing seminary at Beeson Divinity School, Parker joined the Journeyman program with the International Mission Board. He served as a church planter and volunteer coordinator in Paris, France, working primarily with unreached people groups from North Africa and South Asia. His Journeyman term ended in November, 2011, after seeing God move in amazing ways in the City of Lights. He is now serving in Paris as a youth minister with Emmanuel International Church.

 2013 iServe Worship Band

All hailing from Alabama, these four talented musicians are thrilled to be leading worship for Student Missions Weekend.  Each member of the band is a student or recent graduate from a university in Alabama.  They each have a specific call to lead others to the throne of worship and view it as a tremendous privilege.  We are so blessed to have them join us for an amazing weekend!
