The MK ReEntry Retreat is for children of international missionaries who are entering college in the United States for the first time. The retreat provides a setting for MK's to process the transition to college and life in the U.S. Approximately 80 students attend this event each year.

Two Ways to Involve Your Church

Adopt an MK
$100 Each

Churches are needed to adopt an MK to provide for their needs during the retreat. Adoption responsibilities include:

  • A $100 donation that will be used to purchase much needed items for a student such as sheets, towel sets and school supplies. (Alabama WMU will purchase these items with your donations.

  • A commitment to pray for a student during the retreat.

  • Write a personal note to a student.

Provide Funds for Gift Cards $100 each

Each students will receive a variety of items in a gift bag when they arrive which will include a $100 gift card that can be used as they settle in at college. Churches and individuals are needed to contribute to the gift card fund. (Alabama WMU will purchase gift cards with your donations.)
